You might find this interesting reading:
http://www.ghsa.org/html/stateinfo/laws/cellphone_laws.html
Doesn't apply to Georgia though...
It does to bus drivers and/or anyone who gets into a wreck. Just the beginning.....
How about cable car drivers in Lichtenstein?...

I came to Rome when the old Walmart was being demolished. That is when I vaguely remembered there being a Po Folks here.

The Gordon theater was once on Broad Street, a couple blocks down from the DeSoto, if I remember correctly. There was also a movie theater, can't remember the name or the exact location, for black people. Must have been in the '50's.
Of course, Lindale had a movie theater located in the auditorium of what is now The Baptist Center. Admission was 10 cents for age 11 and under. The Neals and Pages ran the theater and routinely asked every kid 9 and over when they would be 12. Admission went up to 12 cents then.
Ms. Neal sat in the back of the theater, and we had to get permission from her to go to the restroom or "tea room," to get snacks. Woe be unto anybody who spoke to anybody else during the movie, because Ms. Neal would not hesitate to tap you on the shoulder and "throw you out" for misbehaving.
That was the place to be on Saturday mornings.

I don't remember when the others closed but west rome drive in was still open in the late 70s. Went there to see Sgt. peppers Lonely hearts club band. That was a waste of money. When you were a kid you could go dressed in your PJs (well I guess you could if you were an adult too)

Right now the gas prices in Summerville are about 6 cents cheaper than in Rome......................it's probably because Summerville has an interstate, a fuel depot, a refinery and all those wells.............................
