LOL Spice! You better believe I'm not making those bars anytime soon!! I'd put that weight back on just MAKING them I bet, LOL!
I still have 90lbs to go, but that 31 is a great start.

I am thinking that people should try it. I kind of tried it for about 2 weeks and lost 10 lbs. I know one person on this bored who has lost a lot more. Tell me what you think... If you already go tell us about your success story. I think weight management is a real important issue in the world today. You do not have to do it with the fancy high dollar weight loss programs like nutra system (haven’t tried it but the food looks gross), or the fat burner pill that really does not work (I have tried the pills). If you have had success with other weight loss programs tell us. Who knows...
Like I said weight is a BIG issue in the US today and it is mainly because of fast foods and a fast paced life style. Tell us about your weight problem... lest make this into like a RNW support group. let others know they aren’t the only one out there that has this problem and it can go away.
My story will come later.
There is only 1 way to safely and effectively lose weight and keep it off, that is to change your lifestyle. A low-glycemic food regimen is the best, there are many wonderful and tasty recipes including something to satisfy that sweet tooth. Exercise is essential, people think they can stay fit and live a sedentary life, ain't gonna happen.
People are fat because they over-eat, eat the wrong foods and don't exercise. I know from first hand experience. And stay away from anything that says, "diet" because it usually contains aspertame which will cause some serious damage to your health.

Thinking Out Loud wrote: Weight is a very big issue. I now have several weight related illnesses that I take medication for. I also do not have a working Thyroid so the medication I take for that keeps my metabolism at a moderately low rate and changing the dose causes heart palpitations.
It is a broad issue, many ppl are killing themselves with prescription drugs when they could more than likely remove the illness by losing weight. The hardest part about losing weight is deciding to do it, then it's a matter of self-control.
Btw, I could send you some info about improving your thyroid if you'd like. I'm going to lose my sister to a thyroid condition. I've tried to help her but she lives on coke, sweets, and cigarettes. Seldom eats anything except fast food and junk. The dr. just put her on the highest dose of thyroid medicine available, he says she's a walking dead woman.
I edited this to make sure no one thought I meant she lives on cocaine, I mean coco-cola...the liquid diet for millions.

I do not understand thrive. My wife went with someone to Kroger telling them this that and the other. I did not know how much she weighed at the time....wouldn't tell me, but I took a look at her clothes 13/14. She is 5'7''so it did not show that much. She weighed 135 pounds when she got pregnant, until the chemotherapy...........she could not taste anything so she ate everything.
She started in late January and she is into a size 8.........new clothes..........Actually a size 7 if they had one. I did not know it cost so much............best I can tell, she does not go to meetings. I do not want to sound crude but she has lost her saddle bags from behind, her legs are thinner, she had two bellies and has lost the upper one and the lower one is going away. All I know she went to that Kroger thing and took a lot of notes. I think she has been doing it all on her on as far as I know........course I am just a man........enjoying the new look

Thrive takes a few weeks for it to really "click"...and the grocery store tour (the thing at Kroger, LOL...) is a MUST, because that is where you get the most information. Personally I recommend the meetings, but that's just because it focuses on repetition and it takes a few weeks to really get it to make sense.
Congrats to your wife! That's awesome.

Have you seen the new schedule, AS? They now have meetings at all times of the day, both in Armuchee and the new Riverbend location (by IHOP where the shoe store used to be). Stop in at either location and get a schedule...I bet you can find something that will work for you!

Isn't this a conflict of interest? An admin who works for Thrive promoting it on the forum? Hmmm....seems worse than the DVD spammer to me...
