same here... that's 2 votes for my schitzo self, the citizens review shouldnt apply
only to law enforcement, it should be applied to all aspects of government when
something is called into question about corruption and wrong doing
I also believe that the law enforcers and the law makers need to suffer far more
severe punishments when they're convicted law breakers, if I get 10 years, they
get 30 simply because of that oath they took

I think it's politicians, and the uppper class that can get away with more in Rome. To much back scratching in my opinion.

For the record, college, hypothesis projects done for psychological, behavioral analysis, human service, criminal analysts, and many other degrees do not attempt theses projects in a " gotcha game " it is to to learn human behavior and to [prove or disprove certain bias that are studied everyday. There are projects out there being performed everyday by college students to improve the statistics and hopefully the areas of profession they go into everyday. For example, will a woman in torn clothes not bathed go into a store, go to purchase an expensive item on her credit card will they ask her to produce ID, the same girl goes into the same store 5 days later dressed in Ralph Lauren and wearing a lots high end jewelry will they ask her to produce ID? Will a man pretending to be homosexual be treated the same at one establishment as a straight man, will a African American be treated the same as a white, will a Hispanic be treated the same? These college students were not out to get the police or the city or county of Rome, just prove or disprove theories. They are projects and thesis papers, completely legally, Are people in Rome so blind that you think that things like ACORN, and what is happening in Washington is only there? WAKE UP? Sometimes it takes little college students to uncover massive amounts of bias and corruption. If people can not take the heat get out of the kitchen!!!

there's no doubt that appearances are a large factor in the way people are percieved
I know from experience and observation that if you look a certain way, you're more
apt to be stopped and possibly searched, if there's no immediate reason for the stop
then one magically appears... riding with a long haired friend in his old firebird we
were stopped one night by a city cop, the reason for the stop was 'the tag lights \
were out', ronnie stepped out of the car with the cop insisting he remain in the car,
walked to the back and saw that it worked just fine it was at that point the officer
made the claim "I smell marijuana" and was insistent on searching the car
on more than one occasion I've been stopped because driving too slow is suspicious,
driving the speed limit is suspicious, of course driving too fast is a violation but the
officer insists that it's the only way that's not suspicious, I was stopped because my
car "fit the discription of" which would be odd since there were no other '71 4 door
oldsmobiles with writing all over them in that area and there certainly wasnt a
robbery at the conveinience store they claim was robbed where this mystery car had
left, I had a radio shack scanner in the car and monitored the local police bands, Im
sure I would have heard something about it over the radio

I'm curious why you think this happens??????????????????????????????????
Also, had I had or if I have children, I hope I don't pay for a college at which projects begin with faulty assumptions.............................................................I'm extremely familiar with behavioral analysis and interpretation, however, to watch country clubs with the presumption that every car leaving is DUI, is ridiculous (and I'm still sure this never "study" never took place)....................................it would be the same as watching the occupants of a gay bar with the presumption that everyone has aids...............................................................................
it's the same ole "us against them" mentality when it comes to those with different incomes or wealth..........................personally, I don't give a crap where they are arresting dui drivers and could care less if the arrests are evenly distributed throughout the community........................

I think the name Gary Fricks applies very well here. And lets put into the mix those great and wonderful LE officers down in the great place of Polk County.
What I would give for this post to have came out just a few short weeks ago. Now that would have been interesting!Last edited on Fri Oct 16th, 2009 05:20 pm by jeffreyballard79

Faulty assumptions, is what brought about DNA analysis and project innocence, Yes, I would never want you to send your children to a college that is so beyond barriers, that we study that an African American man convicted on eyewitness testimony only, sentenced to death row by a jury in the 60's of 12 white's came back by DNA analysis to be proven innocent and spent 22 years of his life in jail is worthy of a college student project. That a woman dressed in Ralph Lauren goes into a high end boutique and has stolen someones credit card's, SS# and ID and proceeds to purchase over $$10,000 worth of goods and not be questioned or asked to show proof of ID or call the credit card company, based on the way she looks or is dressed, I hope You send your kids to a college that is better than that! Get A GRIP!!!WE ARE LEARNING!!! HAVE YOU ever heard the words do not judge a book by it's cover? Or better yet? ACORN!!!!!!!!!!!!
