Let me preface this by saying this is NOT without the possibility for improvement, correction, adjustment or criticism..............I constantly bite my tongue at the BS plans for growth pushed by local politicians and big wigs...............on the surface they are nothing more than selfserving wastes of time intended to benefit someone's brother in law.................ONLY chamber of commerce prostitutes believe the financial impact predictions and repeat them here and on other local media outlets.....................
Donate existing or buy and donate govt land to a local indian tribe for a fullfledged, unabashed gambling establsihment............make deals to ensure security and repayment of the land at a rate of 1000% of its current value and annual donations to the local gubments for infrastructure support etc................
Make alcohol and adult entertainment regulation as lenient as possible in accordance with state law in a particular district and tax it heavily...........
Choose 3 or 4 most heavily traveled locations/destinations and invest in TOLL freeways between them............example: redmond rd at shorter to martha berry at mall with exits but no redlights...................
Provide adequate funding for the basics BEFORE bridges, tennis courts, astroturf........EVEN when some slick country club afficianado insists otherwise............
For the first two years of this "new" experiment, call an emergency session everytime the Rome News Tribune supports the actions of the commission............
Tax breaks, service incentives, license fee reductions or waivers for those businesses who provide live entertainment that draws 75+ people 12 or more times per year............
Create a list of desirable attractions, such as water park, amusement park, ice skating rink, etc. And those who are the First to open one in floyd cty get incentives...........

We could certainly use someone with some common sense and real thinking ability in office from local level to Washington. Someone who does not owe any favors to the establishment.

The first post was BS to get elected........my true platform is to lay off half the fire department and reduce aid to needy folks......because the economy is bad..........
NEXT I would invest 8.3 million in.land for the worlds largest ultimate Frisbee field...................you know, because all those frisbee enthusiasts would spend all their money on our fine hotels and restaurants........THEN we can use the taxes to re-hire the fire department.......or better yet,
Reinvest it in the nations' most spacious team skydiving observatory..............
NEXT, to attract industry, I would promise that IF a major company agrees to headquarter in one of our empty industrial parks, the county will agree to waive their taxes, pay for their building, employees, supplies AND to purchase all that they produce..........
I would then have public works triple pave my road and driveway, widen my water pipe to 6 feet, run high speed cable access, new landscaping and ..... POOF!!!!!!!!!!!!! My tenure would be complete

Lol jj............crackin me up..............I WOULD run and obey you......but I'm puttin the cart before the horse and ignoring your opinions PRIOR to my election................I'll be the first politician to tell you the truth "I don't care what you want, I will ignore your requests and do as I please"............I'm not the perfect candidate though......for example, I have a valid drivers license
