I absolutely love the yellow journalism of his piece, I've done a lot of reading about
these substances including an illegal arrest/raid on 2 stores marketing the product in
Kansas. if you read the comments section you'll get an idea of the problem
a little about this synthetic cannabinoid, the drug it's self is not called K2, Nirvana or
Sunset Gold, it's JWH-018. the product being marketed as K2 also goes under other
names not listed in the article, it's simply a plant based carrier... does it strike anyone
as odd that the head of a lab where it was developed doesnt name the drug and
knows less than the rest of the internet about it
this is a media push to outlaw what they're labeling as a potentially dangerous legal
drug and yes, there are some dangers just as with any drug but this is the market's
answer to the prohibition of a virtually harmless drug who's benefits outweigh any
negative effects. Legalize marijuana and drug that mimic with greater risk wont be
developed
now, do we let the media drive our emotions so that this substance is also outlawed
just like the safer substances in the past or do we push the media to aid in repealing
the prohibition laws against marijuana so that these more dangerous substances
have no need to be in production

Well hell, we let the media drive us on matters of weather, politics, science, who we should think is hot and not, so why not this, too?
