People with no jobs, Families losing their homes, People going hungry, and This City and County is building the largest TENNIS COMPLEX in the Country. While I can see some short time gain in the Construction phase, it then becomes a haven for the wealthy and so-called priveleged. How many median to low-income families do you see benefiting from this. Another 1.5 Million Dollar per year fiasco, only this one will probably be more like 4 Million dollars as many more play golf than tennis. Common
Sense tells me we do not need this. Somebody please Sell me on WHY this project should go forward. MO

This tennis complex will probably come closer to being a money maker that any of the other boondoggles. Tennis is big time right now, and that being said, it will probably bring in big tournaments and money for downtown.

Do these people have any sorts of common sense? You read that they are asking the state for money and then you read further down in the headlines and the state is talking about more furlos. What IDIOTS!!!!! Let me see, it will take people to run this place and to keep it up, so that costs money. But yet we cant give a promised raise or put more money into the well being of our citizens. What IDIOTS!!

Common sense is not synonymous with politicians.

I thought GE was DONATING land for this.....  Guess we know why that didnt work....Tennis Balls, do they not bounce well with the geiger counters going off:???

Hope this revives the mall.   I read "The Sate of the City is Stable....."  Was he referring to the brown objects in the bottom of the stable?!?!?  Lots of unemployed & UNDER-employed trying to make a living, hoping for anything.

The next question would be can I wear panty hose with a tennis skirt? I really hate it when people tell me my panty hose are sagging and I'm not wearing any! :D
