Is it because of the Floyd County lack of responsiblity, or is it because of all the nasty comments from the jerks on the forum who lamblasted the man?
From what I read, he saw a situation and reacted.
Is this so political that it had to be withdrawn? It is more recent and closer to home than either of the other two stories......the only difference I see is that he is not someone paid to serve and protect.

Mr. Jackson you bring up a very good a valid point, but from what  we have learned your points turn into lets say harsh and hateful points on people so me nor  Mr. Moore really trust you!!! We would prefer to be left out of your further conversations!!! Basically Mr. Jackson, due to all the pms sent to me and my husband we would prefer for you to never mention us or the the situttion again.

No disrespect meant. I apologize, and I will respect your request.

I read general discussion, this ticks me off, religion, coupons and politic topics for a year before joining. I wanted to talk in november but changed my mine because of pepples nastiness. I finally chatted yesterday and my second one gets a smart alek comment. There are daily members who are mentally unbalanced, steer every discussion to their pet topic, intimidate and threaten pepole without anything said about it. Calling names thratening and ouffing out their chest is the only manner a few use to get their point across. One regular uses vailed threats and physical challenges in every third post. One or two should be in jail or mental institutions. Before november is my fault but after has been my fear of becoming the target of the bragadocious threatening members of your group. That could be what happened to romenewswire.com.

I for one am sorry that you seem to see only "negative" here sunny. Keep reading and you will see many other things like prayers for people, support for people in need, and others I do not need to list. I hope you can see the sunny side here.

Respectfully,

JJ:D

That is true. Good and bad but the good never stand up against the bad here. Maybe that will change. Thank you.

Many times, what people wish to say comes out differently when it is in print and you do not see their expression on their faces or hear the tone of their voice. I'm not denying that we do get posters from time to time that get irate with other posters, I'm just saying that things are not always what they seem.
Welcome to the forum Sunny and I truly hope you will continue to join the conversations. If there is a thread that bothers you, you can skip over it or if you see a problem with it, you can contact a moderator or administrator.
We are not always right but we do try to keep things open and friendly as much as possible. Of course, there are always conflicts in the political and religion threads and that is just human nature I think. Also, what is said in a joking manner is not always taken that way by the more serious minded posters.

Don't take offense sunny.  I have some fun here and never take the arguing seriously.  Things get out of hand sometimes but Spice is a great bucket of ice water when necessary.   I can't keep up with all the moderators and don't really pay attention to the colors.  Some long time posters do get a little more slack because they have more history here to gauge their intent against.  There is dry humor that isn't always distinguishable to everyone.   I don't think I've ever been misunderstood here but I have been misunderstood in person, by people that just don't get my sense of humor.

It would be nice if more newbies didn't get put off by the arguing.  I find myself laughing over a lot of it.  I do avoid the political thread sometimes because I take others opinions very seriously when it comes to perceptions of our two party system.  I can lose my temper quick on that subject.

I've read your comments and you can hold your own.  Don't let the fireworks run you off.;)

Good grief, I had trouble finding the send button. I'm losing it.

I'm not leaving. I was responding to this to topic but I forgot the news site and the chat rooms are two diffrent places. I can handle my on and deal with nastiness. I agree that written words never get across exactly what I want to say. I also laughed at the arguments before but there are a few who get to personal and could be capable of tracking down and hurting someone. It could be because I've stayed away from talking but their is a few pepole who show mental illness in the things they say and that scares me when they start telling who they are and asking pepole to meet them.

I always feel better when I know I'm losing it because when I no longer see the difference, I'm lost for good. My family has been warned what to look for so they can call in the nice men in white coats.
